Founded in 2017, FILM CENTER BITOLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of film as an artistic medium in Bitola. It was founded by a group of professionals in the field of culture, as well as film lovers and professors. As the To this end, we co-ordinate Bitola`s activities related to the statute as a creative city of the film within UNESCO, as well as a number of activities related to Bitola as a UNESCO Film City, as well as other film activities that emerge from the specificity of Bitola as a film center of the Republic of Macedonia.
Our main goal is to help in the realization of existing projects and manifestations organized by the City of Bitola, especially in the field of film. The association provides services for the city’s film-related activities and relations with the film industry, develops the awareness of the public, the benefits and significance of the film industry in Bitola and the wider economic area.
FILM CENTER BITOLA has a Council that consists of a dozen prominent citizens of Bitola who want to contribute to the development of the city, especially in the culture, and to enable all cultural events and activities that are symbolic of this city to be preserved. It communicates intensively with other citizens who can and should help this association be more massive and have specialists and professionals from many fields.
We are located in Bitola city and outside of it through representative offices and subsidiaries. It may be a member or cooperate in another way with domestic and international organizations with similar interests.

Film Centre Bitola Board:
• Vladimir Simonovski (Chairperson) – As an artist, he exhibited many times abroad as part of independent and international exhibitions. He also participated in several international exhibitions organized at home. As president of the Association of Artists of Bitola, from 2010 to 2014, he directed his activities towards a larger representation of international artists in Bitola and in the country in general.
• Dimitar Nikolov as a film producer and distributor based in Bitola has organized, produced or co-financed more than 10 TV, short, feature and documentary films from 1982 to 2018 in Macedonia and Bulgaria where he produced also several theaters plays in cooperation with the Plovdiv Dramatic Theater. Since December 2015, he is the President of Board of the First Regional Film Fund BCC (Balkan Cinema Cities), which supports films to be shot in the cities of Tirana and Korca in Albania, Bitola and Skopje in Macedonia, Sofia, Plovdiv and Blagoevgrad in Bulgaria. For the last seven years, he has been a regular participant and visitor to all major world and European festivals.
• Sasho Milenkovski is a theater and film director and playwright. In his 25-year professional career, he has an enviable domestic and international premieres. He has set 10 plays on multiple scenes in the neighboring countries and abroad.
